Hours of Operation
The library is open during the school day as well as 15 minutes before school from 9:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. and 15 minutes after school from 3:45 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Check In / Check Out Procedures
Library book check out begins the first day of school and ends the week before school is over. Students have a scheduled time once a week to visit the library with their class. Time is allowed to check out and return books during their visit. They may also come any day before and after school to check out and return books. Students in kindergarten through second grade can have two books checked out at a time. Students in third grade through fifth grade can have three books checked out at a time. Books are checked out for one week, but can be renewed as long as there is no hold or request placed on the book. Renewals are unlimited. Students that have not returned or renewed their books will receive an overdue notice. There are no fines for overdue books. Students may continue to check out items even when they have overdue books.
Staff may check out as many items as needed for any length of time.
If a library class is missed for any reason, the librarian will work with the classroom teacher to find a time for students to return and check out books. If the library closes for any reason, the librarian will visit classes with a cart of books. Any additional requests will be taken and delivered by the next day.
